A caterpiller transforming into a butterfly. This metamorphosis is symbolic.of life's journey through time for each one of us. The many choices we make allow us some control over what we become, but our Creator has a plan for each of our lives, a plan of hope and prosperity, not harm.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jerimiah 29:11-13 NIV).

Along the The Path of Life

You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11 (NIV)

Have you ever considered what the path of your life might look like? Perhaps your life is now filled with family and friends who love you and all your material needs are satisfied. In that case, maybe you would describe your path of life right now as being in a garden filled with a vast array of fragrant flowers and many trees hanging low with ripe, luscious fruits. Or possibly your current life seems dry and barren, like in a hot desert, or maybe more like walking above the tree line on a cold, snowy mountaintop. Where ever you are right now, chances are good that you’ve been in better, or worse, places before. And you will probably be in better or worse places in the future. The good news is that you never have to spend a moment of time in any of those places alone! If God is your commander and chief, then just as He promised Joshua, His words are true for you today as well; “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 (NIV).

The Roadmap God provides a roadmap for our lives. Our responsiblity is to choose to follow His plan as He reveals it to us. In Proverbs 3:5-6, the Bible states it like this, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.".

How is your current plan working for you? If it really isn't God's plan for you, do you think that God's plan for your life may be better than the plan you are on right now?

Your Choice for TodayEach one of us have one very basic choice to make. And the only choice we cannot make is to not choose! The choice we all make is who (or what) will we choose to serve.

When it became apparent to Joshua that all of the people of Israel needed to make that very choice for themselves, here is what he told them: "So fear the Lord. Serve Him in faith and truth. Put away the gods your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt. Serve the Lord. If you think it is wrong to serve the Lord, choose today whom you will serve. Choose the gods your fathers worshiped on the other side of the river, or choose the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:14-15 (New Life Version)
